The Gardai say yesterday’s ‘slow down’ day is a lesson for all drivers – all the time.
The special initiative when ended at 7am this morning, reminded drivers of the dangers of speeding and called on them to drive in compliance with the country’s speed limits.
Derek Cloughley from the Gardai’s Road Policing Bureau says they will continue to target irresponsible drivers who speed or put others at risk:
