Carthy concerned at pace of EU Trade Deal negotiations


The government has been accused of risking the future of Irish agriculture in order to facilitate trade deals between the EU and other parts of the world.
Midlands North West MEP Matt Carthy says the pace and depth at which EU free trade agreements are being negotiated is extremely concerning.

He says deals being discussed with Canada, South America, Australia and New Zealand could have serious consequences for Irish agriculture, but that’s not reflected in the government’s approach………….
