A Save Our Spire campaign has been launched in Donegal Town.
Viewed as one of the town’s most iconic landmarks, the tower and spire of Donegal Parish Church is in urgent need of repair with the cost of the project estimated to be in the region €150,000.
A funding application to the Department of Arts, Heritage and the Gaeltacht was recently turned down however, a number of fundraising activities are planned in the parish over the coming months.
