Questions are being asked over when the road into Fivefingers Stand in Inishowen will reopen.
The road was badly damaged during Augusts floods and while pedestrians can still access the beach, the road remains closed to vehicles.
There are concerns locally that it leaves elderly residents who wish to access the beach at a particular disadvantage.
Local Cllr. Albert Doherty is hopeful that a solution can be found in the very near future:
