LYIT ease to victory in Michael Murphy’s first game in charge

Michael Murphy’s reign as manager of the LYIT is off to a good start.

The Letterkenny side were comfortable 9-21 to 3-7 winners over Coleraine in a very much one sided Colleges and Universities Football League tie at the O’Donnell Park in Letterkenny.

County players Michael Langan, Jason McGee, Michael Carroll and Darach O’Connor all featured.

Gweedore’s Michael Carroll and Termon’s Enda McCormick were among the stand out performances with Jack Scally and Callum Gallagher also featuring well.

Langan, Carroll, O’Connor, McCormick, John Campbell, Daniel Brennan, Darragh Black, and Gary Molloy were the goal scorers.

The Donegal management team of Declan Bonner, Paul McGonigle and Karl Lacey were keen onlookers this afternoon.

Next week the men’s team will travel to play DKIT in Dundalk while Ladies, who are also under Michael and his management team of Aidy Glackin and Francie Friel, will play St Mary’s College in Belfast.
