Declan Bonner to be named Donegal Manager on Friday night


Declan Bonner has taken another step closer to becoming Donegal Senior Football Manager.
A special county committee meeting has been fixed for Friday night with Bonner’s named to go before the clubs.
The selection committee which was set up to fill the void left by Rory Gallagher will recommend the Na Rossa man for the job.
It’s understood the other two candidates, Shaun Paul Barrett and Cathal Corey were informed of the selection committee’s decision this morning.
Friday night’s special county committee meeting will be held at the Villa Rose Hotel starting at 8.30pm with Bonner to be confirmed as the new Donegal Manager during the meeting.
Declan was previously in charge of the senior team from 1997 to 2000 and in recent years guided the Donegal minors and U21’s to Ulster Championship success.
