Derry’s Aileen Reid has called time on here sporting career
The 35 year old tri-athlete competed at two Olympic games, Commonwealth Games, capped 75 times for Ireland and won medals at World Series events.
Aileen says illness and injury are inevitable in a sporting career and she is a fighter – but this fight got her.
She confirmed her retirement on twitter.
