25 sick people without a bed at Letterkenny University Hospital

25 people are awaiting a bed at Letterkenny University Hospital this morning.
13 are on trolleys with 12 described as being on wards.
The figure is one down on yesterday.
A total of 484 people are without a bed in hospital’s across the country.
Meanwhile. a 20 million euro bid to reduce hospital waiting lists is being launched by the Health Minister this morning.
The National Treatment Purchase Fund aims to have no people on the list waiting more than 15 months for treatment by July.
They’ve been given a budget of 20 million euro to provide private treatment for those on public waiting lists.
The Minister hopes it will take 3,000 of those waiting the longest off the lists.
