Almost 480 people are on trolleys at hospitals across the country – 14 of those at Letterkenny University Hospital
According to the INMO – Cork University Hospital is the most overcrowded with 42 people in need of a bed.
The Midland Regional Hospital in Tullamore is next with 30 people on trolleys and overflow areas of wards.
