Drugs worth £80,000 seized following searches of a house in Omagh

Searches of a house in Omagh in County Tyrone have turned up drugs worth an estimated £80,000.

Herbal cannabis and diazepam tablets were uncovered by police searching the house yesterday, as well as a substantial amount of cash believed to have been the proceeds of crime.
A 23-year-old man was arrested and appeared before Strabane Magistrates Court this morning.
The man was charged with possession of a class B controlled drug, possession of a class B controlled drug with intent to supply, being concerned in the supply of a class B controlled drug and concealing criminal property.
Police say that this is a very significant seizure of drugs in the Omagh area, and one which must be welcomed.
