Trócaire says donors need reassurance following Console scandal

 

The head of Trócaire says charities now need to make efforts to reassure donors that their money is being spent wisely in the wake of the scandal at Console.
That organisation’s been wound down amid allegations of financial mismanagement by its CEO.
It follows a number of scandals at Irish run charities in recent years.
And Trócaire’s Eamon Meehan says it’s taken too long to get proper regulation of the sector
