Could Letterkenny be a Gaeltacht Service Town?

Letterkenny_Town_View
Letterkenny has been named as one of the towns that could apply to achieve recognition as a Gaeltacht Service Town under the Gaeltacht Act 2012.
On Tuesday next 26 July at 7pm a meeting will be held in the Council Offices in Letterkenny for any interested parties who would like to learn more about the process involved.
A language programme must be put in place and it’s hoped a local committee can be established to put the plan in place. The meeting will advise on the language planning process and the type of support and assistance that will be available. There will be representatives from Foras na Gaeilge, the Department of Arts, Heritage, Regional, Rural and Gaeltacht Affairs and Údarás na Gaeltachta
