Wembley disapppointment for Donegal’s Carl McHugh

 

Carl McHugh’s hopes of playing League One football in England next season ended this afternoon at the hands AFC Wimbledon.
The Leitirmacaward man’s Plymouth Argyle side lost 2-0 at Wembley in the League Two play off where the winners make the move up to the third tier of English football.
The goals came late in the game, the first from Lyle Taylor in the 78th minute and then late in injury time Adebayo Akinfenwa scored from the penalty spot to seal the victory for Wimbledon.
