People in Donegal will be able to avail of enhanced cardiology services at Altnagelvin Hospital from next week.
Wednesday the 4th Donegal patients for the first time will have direct access to the 24/7 Service at the hospital and will be brought straight to Derry after suffering serious heart attacks.
Health authorities on both sides of the border have said the move will mean more lives will be saved.
