Councillor says confirmation of new Children’s Hospital site bad news for Donegal parents

Childrens hospitalPlanning permission has been granted to the new National Children’s Hospital at St. James’ in Dublin.
The 650 million euro facility is due to open in 2020, after suffering years of planning setbacks.
Donegal County Council unanimously supported a motion from Councillor Gerry McMonagle which called for the new hospital to be located on the M50 providing better access.
He brought the motion off the back of concerns expressed to him from parents of sick children.
Councillor McMonagle says the site approved today is not suitable:
