Rodgers and Lynn set to miss Derry league games

Derry look set to be without Brendan Rodgers and Enda Lynn for the foreseeable future after both picked up injuries in Saturday’s McKenna Cup Final lose to Tyrone.
Slaughtneil’s Rodgers needed 14 stitches to a facial cut sustained when the ball was thrown in at the start of the game. He looks set to miss a number weeks and the first two games of the league at the very least.
Lynn’s prognosis has yet to be confirmed but the ankle injury he picked up late in the game could keep him out for most of the league campaign. There is a worry in the Derry camp that he may have broken the ankle.
Derry start their Division 2 action this Sunday in Owenbeg against Fermanagh.
