Connolly’s second appeal turned down

Diarmaid Connelly
Diarmuid Connolly’s appeal to the Central Appeals Committee into his sending off in last weekend’s All Ireland semi final against Mayo has been turned down.
Last night’s hearing went on into the early hours of this morning before a decision was reached.
As it stands the Dublin forward will miss tomorrow’s semi final replay with Mayo through suspension.
The Dubs can still bring the case to the Dispute resolution authority in an attempt to get the ban overturned and listening to reports this morning, that may well be a route that Dublin might well consider ahead of tomorrow’s game.
