Man arrested in Donegal after Derry shooting incident

PSNI hi res
A man’s been arrested in Donegal following a shooting incident in Derry last night.
A shotgun was discharged during a wedding reception at Rafters Bar and Restaurant on the Northlands Road. One person was hit and brought to Altnagelvin Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
Local Councillor John Boyle says it’s clear this was a one off incident with no paramilitary links, and is urging people with any information to contact the PSNI.
Police say they are following a definite line of enquiry, and and are appealing for anyone who noticed a grey coloured Volkswagon Passat in the Northland Road area at around 8.30 last night to make contact.
Shortly afterwards, a car fitting that description was stopped in Donegal and one person arrested.
Cllr Boyle says the important thing now is to allow the PSNI get on with their investigation………
