A west Donegal man was today one of three men been jailed for nearly 40 years between them – for plotting the murder of Ulster loyalist Johnny ‘Mad Dog’ Adair.
39 year-old Anton Duffy was senteced to 17 years behind bars – he cousin Martin Hughes and another man, Paul Sands were also jailed.
The three were convicted in Glasgow last month of conspiring to kill Adair and his right-hand man, Sam McCrory.
Two other men found guilty of organised crime charges also received prison sentences.
