Nearly €300,000 has been allocated to Fanad Lighthouse.
The funding has been given the go-ahead by the Fáilte Ireland Capital Programme to develop a new visitor facility beside the lighthouse.
The project will include a new car park as well as facilities for visitors and a ticket desk.
