Martin O’Neill delighted with Irish response in 1-1 draw

The Republic of Ireland’s Euro qualification hopes remain alive after a 1-1 draw with Poland at the Aviva Stadium.
Shay Given returned in goals for the Irish and although they struggled in the first half they were much improved after the break.
Having gone behind substitute Shane Long came to the rescue with a late goal that the Irish fully deserved on a night when there was plenty of passion.
Manager Martin O’Neill was delighted with the performance of his side and felt had the game gone on much longer they could even have won it…
