Tyrone come from behind to seal McKenna success

mckenna-cupTyrone won a fourth Dr Kenna Cup in a row on Saturday night beating Cavan 1-13 to 0-10 in the final at the Athletic Grounds in Armagh.
Cavan were in a stronger position on the scoreboard at the break leading 0-10 to 0-6.
Tyrone made the changes for the second half and that altered the game as the O’Neill county dominated and kept Cavan scoreless in the half.
Niall McKenna scored the Tyrone goal while Darren McCurry come on to take the bulk of the scores in the second half.
The victory was Mickey Harte’s eighth Dr McKenna Cup success.

Mickey Harte also spoke to Francis Mooney after the game, where he reflected on new players on Tyrone’s side as well as looking forward to the National League.
