Recruitment is underway for the 7th Donegal Youth Council, which will see 36 young people chosen to represent 12 to 16 year olds in the county for the next 2 years.
The Youth Council aim to represent the views and opinions of the youth of Donegal who don’t have a vote, by building and strengthening links with people and organisations that impact on young people’s lives.
Elections for the next Youth Council will take place next months, with the participants being chosen from secondary schools and a number of youth projects and clubs across the county.
Co-ordinator Martin Keeney says the electoral area model is being replaced in favour of what will hopefully be a more inclusive model …………
