Man seriously injured in Derry gas explosion

A man’s been transferred to a Belfast hospital after sustaining serious burns in a suspected gas explosion in the Waterside area of Derry.
A number of surrounding houses were evacuated following the explosion at a house in the Bond Street area at about 22:35 last night.
The man, whose injuries are described as very serious, was transferred from Altnagelvin Hospital to the Royal Victoria Hospital in Belfast.
