Mary Harte, wife of Senator Jimmy Harte, looking to run in local elections

labour1Mary Harte, the wife of Senator Jimmy Harte, has put herself forward to run for the Labour party in next years local elections.
She was one of three potential candidates who met with party representatives this week to discuss running next year.
Along with Mary Harte, Donegal Constituency Council Chairman, Peter Cutliffe and Siobhan McLaughlin, a former Dail candidate, have also expressed an interest in running.
All three would be looking to run in the Letterkenny Electoral Area.
Sitting County Cllr Martin Farren has been confirmed as a candidate for Inishowen electoral area.
While former County Cllr Seamus Rodgers has been confirmed as a candidate in the Glenties electoral area.
It is not known who will run as a candidate in the Stranorlar electoral area after the resignation of Cllr Frank McBrearty this week.
A candidate also has to be identified for the Donegal Electoral Area.
