Cllr Ian McGarvey tipped to be next Mayor of Donegal

ianCllr Ian McGarvey could be in line to be the next Mayor of Donegal.
Mayor Frank McBreartys tenure ends in June when the AGM takes place in Lifford.
This year it is the turn of the Independent Cllrs group to select the Mayor from and the name of Cllr McGarvey appears to be the favourite for the post.
The Ramelton based Cllr, at 82 years of age, is Irelands most senior public representative on either side of the border.
Speaking to Highland Radio News, Cllr McGarvey said he would be proud if he was selected for the position of Mayor of Donegal….
