Deputy Pearse Doherty says IRA have no place in Irish politics

A recently formed republican group which claimed responsibility for the murder of a prison officer in the north is “trying to pull us back into the past”.
That’s the view of Sinn Fein’s Pearse Doherty who says the group – which calls itself the IRA – has no place in republicanism and no support either north or south of the border.
The group is also being linked with the discovery of a bomb close to the school in Belfast last night.
