The Western Development Commission has launched a one million euro loan fund for creative industries in the West and North West.
The commission says it’s particularly interested in sole traders or small companies which have the potential to make a major contribution, but can lack access to funding and resources.
The commission says events such as the Earagail Arts Festival focus attention on the arts and creative sector, with this is a good time to launch this fund.
It’s envisaged, as part of the process, that help with mentoring and business planning will be provided through County Enterprise Boards and Local Enterprise Offices.
