The AA is predicting that the price of diesel will go above the price of petrol within the coming weeks, possibly hitting a high of around 1euro 55 cent a litre in Donegal.

Speaking on today’s Shaun Doherty Show, Spokesperson Conor Faughnan said VAT and carbon tax increases in next months budget could worsen the situation, but even if the government freezes taxes and duties, international factors will continue to push prices up.
