The ceremonial turning of the first sod for the new childcare facility at Dungloe has taken place today.

The project has been backed with 1 million euro of government funding and should be complete this year.

The Facility will consist of the normal facilities for playgroups, including disabled access, and also a number of rooms to facilitate a naíonra and crèche.

After school facilities will also be provided at the new centre.
